Free Fringe acts announced – bringing entertainment to everyone

29 Mar, 2026

Great art and entertainment should be accessible to everyone and this year, Chesham Fringe Festival is making that a reality with around 50 FREE performances coming to the heart of Chesham town centre between 22-24 May.

Alongside our full programme of ticketed shows, we’re proud to bring an ambitious free fringe strand to Chesham’s participating venues. In keeping with the festival’s commitment to high street regeneration, every free event will take place right in the centre of town. So whether you’re meeting friends for a drink or just passing through, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to access a free event, be it music, comedy, theatre, kids entertainment and more.

This year’s free fringe venues include:

  • Vault 17
  • The George & Dragon
  • The General’s Arms
  • The Drawingroom
  • Chapter II (spoken word events to be announced soon)

No booking required, just turn up and enjoy.

Audiences are warmly encouraged to support free fringe artists with a cash donation at the performance, helping to sustain independent performers for their talent and time.

With the full programme now announced and May fast approaching, Chesham Fringe 2026 is shaping up to be the most exciting and wide-ranging festival yet!
