The excitement is building for Chesham Fringe Festival 2026, and we’re thrilled to share a new wave of fantastic acts just added to the programme. With comedy, theatre, music and family entertainment packed into one incredible weekend from 22–24 May, the line-up is growing fast.
Drum roll please!
One of the biggest highlights just confirmed is Alex Horne and The Horne Section, performing live at Chesham Football Club on Friday 22 May. Expect a gloriously chaotic mix of comedy and music from the creator of Taskmaster and his brilliantly talented band of musical mischief-makers. It promises to be a huge night to kick off the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Friends/Patrons and newsletter subscribers have had the first dibs on The Horne Section tickets already, and if previous years are anything to go by they’ll sell out fast. Sign up to our newsletter to stay on the inside track.
More laughs!
A host of brilliant comedy acts have also just been released.
Catch the hilarious The Adventures of Jasper Cromwell Jones, known for warming up audiences for The Graham Norton Show and Mock the Week, appearing at Chesham Cricket Club on Friday 22 May at 7pm. Later that evening, enjoy surreal and wonderfully eccentric comedy from Paul F Taylor at Chesham Library at 9.30pm.
Award-winning comedian, writer and compere Sally-Anne Hayward (Best UK Compere 2019 and Holsten Pils ‘Fans of Comedy’ Award), who regularly hosts at The Comedy Store and Glastonbury Festival, will appear at Chesham Cricket Club on Friday 22 May at 9pm.
Celebrating 40 years at the mic, legendary political comedian Mark Thomas brings his show 40 in Stand Up Years to Chesham Football Club on Saturday 23 May at 4pm. Expect rants, jokes, swearing and plenty of sharp political humour.
Also on Saturday, comedian and broadcaster Robin Ince, best known for co-hosting the BBC Radio 4 show The Infinite Monkey Cage with physicist Brian Cox, will perform at Chesham Cricket Club at 7pm, bringing his signature blend of intellect, curiosity and comedy.
Sunday’s comedy line-up is equally strong. Award-winning comedians Lou Conran and Eddy Brimson, married in 2024, join forces for a gloriously unfiltered double act at Chesham Football Club on Sunday 24 May at 1pm.
Later that afternoon, Paul Sinha, star of The Chase, brings his latest Edinburgh Fringe show to Chesham Football Club at 3pm, while Adam Flood delivers his high-energy mix of observational comedy, surreal twists and music upstairs at The Queen’s Head at 3pm.
In the evening, Stephen Carlin will perform his sharp, subversive and brilliantly deadpan comedy upstairs at The Queen’s Head at 9pm.
Also appearing are Esther Manito and Matt Richardson, who will be testing new material in a double bill at Chesham Football Club from 9pm. Expect fearless storytelling and fresh stand-up from two brilliant comedians.
Comedy fans can also look forward to performances from Sara Barron, Annie McGrath and Jonny Pelham, offering a rare chance to see top comedians performing “work in progress” shows before they hit major stages such as the Edinburgh Fringe.
